Also, if you know of any colleges that aren’t necessarily state colleges, feel free to name those as well.

Thanks so much!

I live in California and my brother goes to 2 college one in Los Angeles and one in Long Beach. And I heard that Long Beach City College teach you these stuffs. And Long Beach State also teach you these stuff.Good Luck!

Good websites for helping choose universities and courses?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

My daughter, currently in the 6th form is at the stage when she is looking into what university course to choose. I would like to point her in the direction of websites which a) tell her which courses she can do given the A levels she has chosen b) tell which universities offer which courses with an outline of the syllabus c) tell her what sort of grades she needs for these courses. Any help greatly appreciated.
We are UK based.

You will not find good websites, or even any websites, that specifically help you make the decision as to which universities and courses your daughter should choose. This is the internet and there is a lot of crappy websites.

1. There is no substitute for doing your own authoritative
research.

That should be done by selectively and speculative picking institutions and requesting their prospectuses. Read them.

You may pick up ideas for other subjects, so you go further and request prospectuses for specific subjects.

You may pick up ideas to study at another institution, so you go further and request prospectuses for that institution.

2. You should first of all consult: www.ucas.com. Click on http://www.ucas.com/search/index08.html. Do a course search – a speculative search. Search a course you are interested in: e.g. "Marine Biology". Alternatively, click on search a subject and then choose one. Then click on the institutions listed as offering the course, and read their websites.

You can do this "browsing" process by looking at the official UCAS Directory available at your school, on the internet, and at the local library.

You should just browse. Its just like ordering a gift from a catalogue.

(a) You ask for courses she can do given the A levels she has chosen. Thats somewhat the wrong way round. The A levels are there to facilitate being able to do any course at degree level. The question is this: how has doing an A level in sociology, say, contributed to the decision to do a course at degree level? What skills have you learnt? What is it about sociology that interests you to study another degree subject?

So for e.g. if your daughter wants to do a history or economics degree, its recommended you study A level history of course or economics, but its fine if she studied Chemistry, or Biology. The question is, what has persuaded you, having done these subjects, that you are interested in and can commit to three years in History or Economics?

This question (a) is really a question to be asking the university. They will tell you what they need or recommend to study when they give you their prospectus. You just need to start requesting prospectuses and have a look at them. No one is going to do the work for you – no website can do it – and courses and course content change all the time.

(b) You should really start looking at the university prospectuses. I can’t tell you "which universities offer which courses with an outline of the syllabus". You have to read the wonderful prospectuses the universities provide. They go into great simple detail about the syllabus.

(c) Again, you should consult the prospectus to find out what grade.

And if you are really stuck, have a start with this link:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/UniversityAndHigherEducation/index.htm

The Government website may help you, but it looks very tedious and really wastes time. You need to get into the university prospectuses.

Haverhill Institute of Staging, QC Design School, or Sheffield School?

Does anyone know anything about any of these schools?

I would like to take one of these online courses, but I can’t seem to find too much info on any of them. I am very skeptical of a distance education course. I already have a degreee, but I am looking for a new career path.

Please feel free to leave your comments, suggestions, and knowledge.

Thanks!

I have taken two Staging Courses
The Staging Diva (which is good, because not only do you learn the rules of staging, but you learn how to start up your business)
http://www.stagingdiva.com/

and I have taken the Sheffield course in interior decorating
http://www.sheffield.edu/

I liked them both very much. Both have served me well to success in my business.

I have colored my hair for many years and I have decided to let it grow out to it’s natural color again?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

Whenever it starts to grow out, about 2-3", it gets really course and kinda oily? at the roots. And yes, I do wash my hair regularly with great products. My hair is naturally straight, light auburn, and on the thin side. It is very long, to about the middle of my back. What can I use to make the weird course stage better? without dying it again. If I color it, it goes back to being soft and non-oily and easy to manage. Help!

Don’t color your hair again, its going to damage it. It happen to me, you should use Dove Cool Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner, Cucumber & Green Tea Scent. It works great with oily etc. Then you should use, Citre Shine Shine Mist, Anti-Frizz Spray Laminator, Highly Laminating after showering, spray it on your hair, it will make your hair unbelievable soft, strong, shiny, undamage.. unfrizzie.. [: hope that help’d.

On the game spore in the space stage were do i find the next empire?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

I’m the space stage of course. I all ready found the abandon city. I also made a new city. I’ve been to most of the stars around mine.

Easy. When you leave you home solar system you see millions of stars around you. The question is how to find another civilization? Well, easy! You don’t have to go to every single star. All you need to do is simply hover your cursor on top of a star. A start that doesn’t have a civilization on it won’t react; however, a star that does will have a couple of blue lines that come out of it. This really is the best way of explaining how they look.

The same way when a planet has a rare item a couple of yellow lines come out it, a solar system that has a civilization on it gives off a few blue lines.

What are different courses/ stages of CS, How much time it?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

And how many hours should one study while doing CS, as my friend told me 8-9 hours

Hi CS is a wonderful Professional Course

You can visit www.icsi.edu – Click on Student on left side, than click on CS Course Regular – Brochur and you can get the same in Pdf form and can save it and have a look for eligibility, different stages, subjects etc

I have done CS simultanelously with my Gradulation i.e. I have joined after HSC. If you like theory subjects and you are more efficient in it than pls go for it

How much years it will take – that depends on various factors like – In how many attempts you clear your exams, you appear for all groups together or for single group (if you appear for single group it will take more time ) etc

There are various other trainings and articleship to be completed for becoming Authorised CS i.e. having your membership with ICSI

You also have to Study hard. What you friend told is right but if you are studying from starting than slowly slowly increse you time limits and dont do overstudy also

Trust me today without education there is no value……..graduation is to not at all enough. Whatever professional course you will do whether CA,CS, ICWA, MBA everything will require your time and Hard work so decide accordingly coz you are going to invest your Years in it so once you start reach at your Manzil

In professional exams there are many fellows who gets fluncked and than they leave one course and go for another. Pls even in your life circumstances comes than dont give it up complete it till the end and trust your self and have confirdence

If you have any further query pls post the same and ALL THE BEST

What college courses might I need to take to become an author?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

I am currently in the stage of deciding what I would prefer to be when I am in adult. All of my choices are rather far fetch but I should at least try considering these are things I love and I am rather good at them. So, what College courses, or what would I need to major in to become an author? Tell me exactly how I could become an author please.

There are no educational requirements to become an author. As a matter of fact, many authors write in their free-time and work a ‘regular’ job. Some helpful courses would be communications courses, journalism courses, English courses, literature, creative writing, etc…

What is the credibility of Haverhill Staging Course online?

They guarantee you employment if you pass their course. Sounds too good to be true. Any comments would be appreciated.

they may be able to offer you a number of jobs, but they might not be jobs your wanting or willing to take.
