Where is a good place to get home decorating ideas?

Before we moved, I bought a journal and started collecting pieces of paper from magazines, and whatnot that reflected colours, textures and designs that I liked–not just from home furnishing.
From there, I also ordered a few catalogues and did some more clippings. Online sites as well, ikea.com, target.com, the pottery barn, even urban outfitters have great ideas as well for furnishing, and even if you don’t end up buying that piece, you can always try and figure out a style that it represents that you want to work with.
As well, Ikea offers a home furnishing consultant that you can take these ideas to, if you’re into Ikea furniture, and they will help you decorate a room, or the entire house, or certain aspects according to your tastes and such.

Well it’s not an actual decorating site but Target.com is very inspirational for me. Especially looking at pictures and paintings. You can find a painting that you LOVE and base a room around it.

It is so exciting buying your first home. I am onto home number 2 at the moment and it is up for sale as we speak. I am really looking forward to putting my touches to another home when we sell this one. I just love to decorate and experiment with colours.
