Vampire Diaries or House of Night series? Which one is better?

I want to start reading one of the series’. In your opinion, which one is better?

I really like reading fantasy books that have plot, meaning, and romance. But not totally drenched in fluff. If you have any suggestions, that would be great. And PLEASE don’t recommend Twilight! It was horrible.

Uh, if it helps, I’m almost 16 years old.

I suggest Vampire Diaries, I’m 12, and I loved it. It’s a very interesting story. Two brothers fall in love with the girl Elena and only one can get her. It’s like a love triangle with human and vampires. In my opinion, I like it a little more than Twilight.

    I am a huge fan of harry potter and hate vampiers but i read the blue bloods series its AMAZING =D i love it i cant wait till the new book comes out. you would like it to about teens and war and vamipers and love ;-) just try it

    hey im 15 and i would definity say house of night!!
    vampire diaries were just horrible i had to MAKE
    myself actually read all the books. and im in love
    with the Vampire Academy series, there are three
    of them and the next one is coming out in 8 days!
    im super excited and i think you would like them
    a lot. but anyway house of night is way better
    than vampire diaries! hope i helped!

    I really liked the house of night series. I haven’t read the vampire diaries yet though, but im going to soon.
    my friend has read both, she is in the middle of vampire diaries right now, and she said House of night is still better so far.

    have you read vampire academy yet??? I’m reading it right now, and i like it better than house of night i think, but it’s almost too hard to choose between the two.

    I haven’t read Vampire Diaries but the House of Night series is good in my opinion i like Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead better though

    House of Night is a lot more interesting. I love the story plot that just keeps building and the next book comes out soon. I couldn’t get through the first volume of Vampire Diaries. I was too bored, the book moved too slow and I just didn’t care about the characters.

    Okaii im 14 n i would soo go with the house of night! its just the best dang thing ive ever read i love it!!! n like that 2nd girl said vampire academy!… buti havent read vampire diaries but by the summaries of it i wont want too either i mean how many times is the girl going to come bac to life over 3 books? just the summary made me mad
