hamster love chewing so i would put lots of stuff they can chew on in there and give them a treat not more then once a day and you can really make it’s life REALLY happy by holding it and just paying attention to it.

I had a hamster, and I bought this weird little salt like thing. Apperently they like salt or something… but it like attached onto the bars so it was sticking out inside the cage.. I’m pretty sure you can get them at most pet stores.

Well, he/she might like it if there were some food in the food bowl. Other than that and water I’d say you’ve pretty much got it covered. If you’re looking to make it happier, you should take it out of it’s cage every once in a while and hold it and maybe set up a pet in your living room where it has more places to play without getting lost. Your choice.

I hope you like reading!
Wood, you need to put wood in there to help their teeth not grow too long. Um, plastic, as long as it is not too small (to small is like stuff that isn’t the size or a little house and isn’t a little house) but plastic is not recommended, a editable house or a wood one is better. Um, food, oranges, lettuce (anything but ice burg lettuce) carrots, most fruit, you should check the hamster rescue. They have many hamsters and give tips. You should check it out.
Having a hamster is fun, but you need to take care of them!!

Some of the things hamsters would really enjoy are alfalfa cubes, seed bells and special blends of grains. Fresh vegetables and fruits are well liked, too.
Hamsters love to chew. There are lots of chewy wooden items on the market made especially for hamsters. Some of them are even fruit flavored! If you don’t provide lots of safe things for your hamster to gnaw, he may decide to chew the furniture. So, you should keep a supply of blocks and chew sticks on hand to satisfy the urge to chew.
Wheels, oh yes. They love it. Hamsters are athletic too and busy all the time. They love to run in wheels, especially at night. Hamsters also enjoy playing in tunnels and caves. Pick up a set of these sturdy plastic play things for your hamster and create a system of tunnels for him to run through. You’ll also see that hamsters enjoy sleeping in these enclosed areas.

you definantly need a lot of chew toys for your hamster, since their teeth are constantly growing.

Congratulations on your new family member!
Here is a list and reasons why!
~salt roll-they like to like on salt, and in the long run, it helps with there insides as well
~you said you had a little house which is great they like to huddle and feel pretected inside them and they like to sleep in them
~chew toys-you can find chew sticks at your local pet store, they need them because without them their teeth can get overgrown and cause teeth injuries
~treats-this gives them a little something to do and chew on for taste and also to grind their teeth
~toilet paper roll like your using is great they like to crawl through them if you cant tell since most cages have tunnels!
~you already have a wheel which is great because they need their exercise! a healthy hamster is a happy hamster!
these are basic essentials to cage accesories!
Good luck and Hope this helped!

Hamsters love to dig. If you can, you could put sand and cage dirt in so he/she could bury. Hamsters are always looking for new stuff to play so you could always make toys. There’s this really cute thing where you put a toilet paper roll and poke a hole through it, put some string and tie it onto the cage, and its a swing!
. Though you don’t need to put a lot of toys because hamsters are really a quiet rodent and would sleep for about 14 hours with only few time to play. Good job putting all those stuff in your hamster’s house though- I’m sure its really happy right now (:

you have the basics! they have wood toys for chewing and salt blocks for them to enjoy. Mine loves his ball for easy travel around the house. He actually throws a temper tantrum if he doesn’t get a full 1/2 hr in it!. And he loves his haster potty and I like that it makes my job easier!
Remember you need to give you hamster time to adjust to his new home. let him explore as much as possible in his cage.

First of all i cut a chunk of really soft faberic( 3 1/2 : 2 inches) and my hamster loves it he drags it arround lays it on the pile of bedding he made and burrows under the blanket to sleep!!! its sooo cuite!!!
IDEAS!!!
1)baby food jar with peanut butter on the bottom(they get alittle messy but its sooo cuite!!)
2)a small plastic bowl to chew on
3)linken logs
4)linken log mazes with treats at the end
5)"sock hidout" 1 get a sock you dont have a match to(any sock) 2 get a paper towl roll 3 cut a inch off the end of the paper towl roll 4 hot
glue it to the opening of the sock 5 watch ur hammy play!!!
6)card board
7)paper
8)paper bags.
9)old slippers,socks,clothing,etc.
10)egg cartons
11)mini oranges(wait do they have to be things that last?
12)"im not gunna lie i found this on the internet" To do a hamster coconut home, drain the liquid out of the coconut by making small holes in it. Then, set the coconut down on a table and mark out the place for the entrance of the coconut for the hamster to go in. Drill a 5 cm (2 inches) diameter hole where you want the entrance to be. Take out the coconut flesh and eat what you have scooped out! Wash the coconut from the inside and sand the edges of the hole if necessary.
Please note that it may be difficult to take out the coconut flesh. Another way is by putting the coconut overnight in the freezer after making the hole. The next day you will find the flesh separated from the shell and can be chipped away with a chisel
13)cardboard boxes are boring by themselves, so cut heaps of holes in them. you can even stick a toilet roll in one of the holes and attach to another box!
14)washed out glass bottles (with a end big enough for them to get in)
15)Toleit paper rolls can be do much more than just sit their, I hung mine from the top of his cage so it would swing when he went in!!!
16)A thick rope hanging from the top of the cage for them 2 climb up.
17)Mini soft toys, they love to play with
so that was alot of stuff… good luck be creative and have fun with your hamster!!! Good luck!!! Hope i helped!!! (my fingers hurt from typing!!! HEHE)

What sort of cage do you have? If you do not have a rotastak hamster cage i would suggest you get one and that will give your hamster plenty to do.
