What illness did my parakeets die from and is it contagious?
Author: admin | Category: House-FluffingWe have a breeding pair and the last couple batches of babies have died from this. Today, the mother died too.
They were acting lethargic, fluffing feathers, laying down and had crusty droppings that stuck to their opening.
I’m just wondering what to do about the other birds in our house. Can they catch it?
I could be nice and find you a sugar coated "it’ll be fiiine" answer, but honestly, if your pets are dying, you shouldve been at an avian vet a long time ago. One batch is a coincidence, but so many dead birds is obvious reason for concern and reason to take more action than yahoo answers. It could be a reaction to the environmet, genetic, contagious, ect. Talking to a vet immediatly would be your best bet.
