Cost for a professional photographer to take photos of my staged house?
Author: admin | Category: House StagingHello,
I am wondering what the cost would likely be to hire a professional photographer to take photos of my staged house so I can put them all online.
I am in the San Francisco area.
Thanks!
It depends on the size of the house and what you’re looking to capture (sort of like picking a wedding photographer). My guess is anywhere from $3,000-$10,000.
Real architecture photography would require a more specialized camera (medium/ large format) that can compensate for the distortions made by the lens (via swing/ tilt/ risers controls). Those cameras usually cost $20,000-$60,000, not including lens and extra adaptors. And the photogs will camp out for day(s) just to capture the right natural lighting. That’s why architecture photography can be expensive.
I don’t know of any photogs in SF area, but try to find something comparable to these guys:

It really depends. Check out your local ASMP or APA chapter. You can search under the find a photographer in your area. Architectural of general photographers. If the images are done right it can make a difference how fast your home sells. Decide how much money is that worth to you and keep that number in mind when calling the photographers. I would say $250+ is not out of the norm.
