As Christianity totally collapsed in Europe, what is filling the void left by it?
Author: admin | Category: Staging CoursesWestern Europe is in Post-Christian stage.
Of course Atheism, rational thinking and Islam are filling the void
But apart from those three can you tell anything that is sweeping Europe?
The void is filled with education, intelligence and reason.

We have replaced the lamb wellington on the menu this evening with a grilled ahi tuna. Jean-Phillipe, please open the doors to Hell’s Kitchen.

I wouldn’t be so hasty as to say Europe is ‘post-Christianity’ at all.

Christianity collapsed in Europe??..Dream on. You atheists have been saying this for millennia… it’s NOT TRUE!
Christianity accounts for 33.5% of the world, Islam… 18.2% and atheism/non-religious 20.7%.
I don’t know the figures for Europe, but they’re not that different.

If Christianity is really failing in Europe, believe me Islam will dominate there.

Freedom of thoughts, freedom of beliefs, living with no fear of a higher being, yet living with honesty, respecting others and loving life.
Religion is not the basis of a good society, morals, you know, respect, honesty, acceptance etc etc is.

Though we follow particular religion we have forgotten our duties towards society (mankind). Common man has chosen path of luxury at any cost. He does not care for others sorrows, difficulties and enjoying the life for his own. The gap between rich and poor is widening day by day. For duties no one bother. It is every where. This is not a rational thinking as you call, it is selfish thinking. In the name of science, first we forgotten god now we do not care for Mankind.
The world is changing fast.

Oddly enough, Christianity. Christian churches now have their highest attendances in history, not only in Europe but around the whole world. I take it you work as a stock broker or you wouldn’t even attempt to turn round the thing you hate most to your advantage. Unfortunately, you’ve been sussed talking absolute rubbish you can’t back up.

Religion is collapsing in Europe.Christianity isn’t.Materialism linked to capitalism and the ME generation is the reason for this. Why else are thousands of Eastern Europeans working in the UK?
The bosses are exploiting economic migrants to feather their own nests at the expense of the indigenous population. No one in the UK gets up and decides to move to Gdansk because there is work there. There isn’t.
The churches have no answers to these problems. It’s also unfashionable to be a Christian now in Europe. It doesn’t sit well with the zeitgeist.
We also see the rise of the secular state that bends over backwards to placate Islam yet tries it’s best to block Christian ideas.
Kids now can’t have a christmas party or nativity scene at school. Not because it offends Muslims but because it offends the controllers who hate Christianity.
I say ban all religion.Practise it at home or in your church but the state must be neutral after all the state should only concern itself with non-spiritual things like addressing poverty and rising anger that young people have because they’ve been let down and will have to pay for the greed of their parents generation with their obsession with property which caused the credit crunch.
Rational thinkers would agree with that surely.
The collective psyche of Europe will implode. The big lie has been seen to be true. They even want to work people now beyond the age of retirement.
That’s like your Grandad hogging the PS3 controller and not giving wee Johnny a turn until he grows out the fukcing thing.
It’s all a big con.
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Yet they are sitting on a time bomb because politics have failed also so what’s left..only rioting..and that’s why I admire the Greeks and French. They’re not frightened to get out on the street and make there feelings known.
Here in the UK they just sit at home hating people too sick to work and despising people who are prepared to travel to work like the Poles.
They deserve what’s coming for their selfish apathy.

Your assumption is wrong.
You have mistaken Europe for a single place, like the United States.
Christianity is still very strong in certain countries – notable Poland and many other Eastern European states, but also including Italy and Spain amongst others. I can’t speak for France and Germany.
In Britain it is weakening very rapidly amongst educated indigenous people and Christians are probably a small minority, but we have lots of immigrants from Eastern Europe who are creating record attendances at Catholic Churches.
The Anglo Saxons were amongst the last Europeans to convert to Christianity and (in my opinion) were the least fond of it. So It looks like we will be the first out as well!
In general we Anglo Saxons are a pretty pragmatic, non-spiritual lot. We have our feet firmly on the ground and tend to leave the god bothering to the Celts. Even our Gods, when we had ‘em were an earthy, quarrelsome, violent, bunch.
