Is it dangerous to have operation during early pregnancy?
Author: admin | Category: Staging CoursesI think I am pregnant (will do test in week) but I am booked to have operation in 3 weeks. Just wondered if anyone new whether it can harm the baby at this early stage. Will of course ask at hospital once I have done test to conifem
Op on my leg to repair tendon under general
They have left it several months but needs repairing now or could lead to long term problem walking
i had to have my appendix out when i was 17 weeks pregnant with my first and i was so scared but it all went fine and now my baby is a healthy happy five yr old
so i had general anesthetic, was on morphine afterwards and the surgery was right near the baby

it can cause m/c so yeah it is dangerous but it also depends what sort of surgery you are having and where!
i would consult your doctor immediatly hun.. it may affect you being able to have it done..

I think it depends on a lot of factors. Are you going to be under general anesthesia? It is an operation on your trunk, or an out patient procedure on something like your hand or foot? Will you be requiring prescription pain meds after the procedure?
Somehow I suspect if your need for this procedure is not life-threatening, they will not want to do it once you tell them you are pregnant.

yes it is its danerous to have any opertion during the whole course of ur preganancy

Doctors usually do a blood test before any surgery so If you are they will let you know.

Before you go into surgery they will ask you if you are pregnant, or think you are pregnant. If you say yes they will test you just to make sure you are or arent. If you are, and the reason for the surgery isnt life threatening they will make you wait until the baby is born to have it in most cases.
It can cause miscarriages.

they only do life saving surgery during pregnancy
