what specific courses would be in demand by the year 2011 onwards??

one month to go now, here comes again another year of learning life,, and i would be a freshman college for this coming school year.. up to this time,, my preferred course still undetermined.. i have made up my mind for several times before regarding to that matter… i can’t really decide,, perhaps this would be the most complicated stage in my life..
i wanna be productive someday.. i dont want to be in a hurry.. so please help me to my decision!

    It depends on what country you’re in.
    In the Philippines, I guess it will still be nursing, then education.

    You want to stay away from coursework that leads to a profession that could be done by computers or outsourced overseas, i.e. accounting, programming, etc. The current trend is to place an emphasis on the arts and specialized services (teaching, life coaching, medicine).

    Check out the book "A Whole New Mind" by Daniel Pink. It will give you a whole new perspective on your future.

    No one knows this for sure, but if I had to guess, I would say Mandarin Chinese, mathematics, biotechnology – basically anything that not everyone wants to do and that can’t be easily outsourced or handled by a computer.
