im building a storage shed and want a gambrel roof?
the shed will be 12x 12 with the walls 96 inches this is with top plates and bottom plate. im having a bit of trouble finding the length to cut my trusses and also trouble with the angles to be cut. i have built a shed with a gable roof in the past.
you are essentially building a roof with 2 pitches. place your ridge. determine what you want for the front pitch, figure your cuts with a swanson square or roofing square, and do the same for the different pitch on the back.
how do you cut a truss without it falling apart? if you are building your own trusses, that takes a lot of engineering to produce the proper load bearing. did you mean rafters?

Need a guess on how much a 15′x15′-12” concrete slab will cost in North Texas. I need to build a shed.
First of all, your slab will only need to be only 4 inches thick, not 12 inches unless there are some special circumstances. At 4 inches thick, you will need about 3 cubic yards for a 15×15 foot square.
I’m assuming that you will do the work yourself, so you will need to buy
eight 2×4’s for the forms, some stakes to hold the forms in place, and the concrete. Concrete is about $135 a cubic yard, so figure around $500 for the material. If you put in rebar or wire, which you probably won’t need to do since it is just for a shed, the cost will go up a little.
Eletricians can you tell me the correct depth to lay armoured cable to a shed please?
I am taking power to an new build shed I just reqire the depth to lay the armoured cable. Please note I was a semi skilled electrician and connection will be done by an niec approved engineer Regards SJ

Well I looked everywhere its hard to find a clubhouse or shed that’s big enough for older kids instead of the lil bitty kids, but I found some hope I helped . . .

What’s the best way to soundproof a wooden shed jus for producing? Only using 2.5 inch KRK monitors. Door,roof windmill…has no insulation and has 2×4’s all around inside.
adding insulation and drywall would be the easiest way. they make drywall special for soundproofing, but that is a lot more expensive
