Are there regulations on building a garden shed ie size wise?
How big is a garden shed allowed to be? Does it depend on what its used for? Should planning application be sought?
It depends on the overall area of your property, you are allowed a certain percentage of your garden for a shed without planning as long as it is behind the building line and not interfering with your neighbours natural light/rights of way etc. Go to your local planning department for a booklet which will have all the relevant information for your area, it differs from place to place because of covenants on the land/parish councils/bylaws etc.
where can i get plans for a shed for kayaks and equipment.?
I am building a storage shed for Bok Academy, the local middle school for my Eagle Project. I am looking for some plans for building it. The shed needs to be able to hold 40 single kayaks, paddles, life jackets, ect. I would like to, if possible, put the shed on skids because the terrain is very flat (if the water rises 1ft in height it will be 20-25 feet distance wise and the lake flucuates alot). If you have any ideas or tips please leave an answer.
When I first saw the question I was baffled,still am.You will definitely need something for floatation incorporated,also anchored.I poised this question to my friend Mr Google and this was the best he could do.This would indeed be a very challenging problem,one may consider an old pontoon boat and closing it in.It would be interesting what you do come up with,I love a challenge.

how do i build a shed in my backyard?
i want like a little closet room to myself, like not to live in or anything, but i want a room the size of a tool shed to hang out in with my friends. so how could i build a shed like that?
You should definitely build it yourself, rather than getting a pre-made one. You’ll save heaps of money.
Do you have any wookworking experience? If not, it doesn’t really matter because they’re pretty simple to construct. If it’s your first shed, I’d recommend that you get hold of some readymade shed plans to make it easier – they’ll tell you exactly what you need to do and what you need.
I’d also recommend installing some insulation to ensure it doesn’t get too cold in there (though this obviously depends where you live).

Vinyl or Wooden Storage Shed – Which is a Better Material for an Outdoor Garden Storage Shed?
Wood is easily more durable than vinyl when you’re constructing garden sheds for storage purposes.
With outdoor vinyl, you have to worry about the weather and how it’s going to affect the items you’ve stored inside. Leaks, cracks and structural defects make it a hassle to maintain after 4-5 years of use.
In comparison, a wooden shed lasts about 3 times longer than a vinyl storage shed with less than half the maintenance costs.

Shed Seven live Dec 2009 – Full exclusive video
Shed Seven have announced they will take to the stage again in 2009. The five piece band, who enjoyed a run of fifteen consecutive Top 40 hits from 1994 to 2003 and have an enviable reputation as a live act, will embark on an 15 date UK tour in December.
Frontman Rick Witter said: The reaction to our reunion tour of 2007 was amazing and after a couple of memorable festival appearances last summer we couldnt resist the urge to play live together again this year. Fans can expect to hear all the singles plus other past favourites that we didnt get the chance to revisit in 2007.
Witter also exclusively announced that the band have been working on new material
Although we have no plans to release another album, we have written two storming new tracks and one will be released as a download only single to coincide with the tour. As well as touring to celebrate the past this also gives us something to look ahead to.
The Sheds also have a brand new website at www.shedseven.com which contains new and exclusive content. This includes a new live album recorded on the bands 2007 reunion tour which will be made available track by track as a free weekly download.
We wanted to give our fans something back for their continued support and this also seemed like a good way of doing something a bit different. A new and exclusive live track will be made available every week
The first track is She Left Me On Friday and will be available on the 15th May.
