I don&#039;t know the dimensions you want but here are general considerations. Take 4x4 posts and cement them in the ground however far from the building you want. Use 2x&#039;s from the shed to the 4x4&#039;s. Easiest way would be to use simpson ties to fasten the boards. Use your scrap wood for runners/stringers to screw or nail the metal to. You want your roof to be atleast 3/12 for most applications. Undersized wood will require a larger quantity and steaper slope. Do the sides just like the roof and you have a lean-to.
