I don't know the dimensions you want but here are general considerations. Take 4x4 posts and cement them in the ground however far from the building you want. Use 2x's from the shed to the 4x4's. Easiest way would be to use simpson ties to fasten the boards. Use your scrap wood for runners/stringers to screw or nail the metal to. You want your roof to be atleast 3/12 for most applications. Undersized wood will require a larger quantity and steaper slope. Do the sides just like the roof and you have a lean-to. Skids can probably be used on the roof if you have enough and take the time to tear one side off of them.<br><b>References : </b><br> A lean-to is very simple.
