I have 2 Racoons living under my Wooden Shed. Any suggessions on what to do to get rid of them?

Your local animal control would have some live traps they would come out and set for you at no charge, then when the raccoons get trapped, call them and they will come and pick the up for you and relocate them, maybe try DNR….(by the way the live traps do not harm the animal

Definatly call the County Animal Control and see if they have some live traps you can use. Trap em, relocate em to a nice state park area that won’t end up a neighborhood in the future.

Animal control will likely kill them if they trap them rather then relocate them. Put out a radio on a rock and roll station near the shed the noise will drive them away.

I think they should stay and you should move.

Have-a-heart traps with food in them might work.

There are professional services you can call to get rid of them. Or buy a couple of large cage traps. Once they are caught, you’ll have to get rid of ‘em – maybe at a local forest preserve. Also, some privately owned garden centers sell Coyote or Bobcat urine. After your coons are gone, spread the urine around the entrance they were using. This should discourage any others from hanging around.

If they’re not hurting anything, just let them be. I bet they’d be fun to watch. If you are really adamant about getting rid of them, call the animal control. They will capture them humanely and relocate them. Don’t listen to that idiot with the anti-freeze, it seems like he may have drank some himself.

If you use antifreeze, be aware you can kill other animals. I lost a pet because she got into antifreeze that was meant to be for opossums. I would try the animal control or visit a home pest control company for advice.

Toss some moth balls under your shed. All animals hate that smell and it should make them leave. Be careful not to get too close, they’re nasty creatures. If you’re not adverse to killing them, empty a can of Coke into a plastic container and add a few tablespoons of "fly bait". You can find fly bait at farm supply stores. Open the container outside as it really stinks. You do not want to keep the plastic container your mixing it into either. The coons will drink it up and die within a dozen feet or so of drinking it. This worked for our coon problem and the yard cat wouldn’t go near the poison. Best of luck.
